I provide clinical consultation to licensed professionals and supervision to psychotherapy interns. I use a relational model of consultation and supervision and attend to the transference-countertransference matrix and parallel processes that surface within and between each participant. My focus is on the therapist’s use of self and how that intersects with the patient’s psychological and sociocultural experiences and contexts. I believe supervision and consultation require the safety to be honest and forthcoming. I bring a willingness to tolerate the discomfort that can be activated in weathering and thinking together about what is transpiring within the patient-therapist dyad and what may be surfacing between us.
